Carbon for Education" aims to promote sustainable lifestyles through carbon footprint compensations and to contribute to Education for Sustainable Development in Peru.
Through this initiative, people and public and private institutions can compensate their carbon footprints generated by the yearly use of cell phones, of homes, land vehicles and/or air transportation.
By offsetting carbon footprints, a third of the resources collected is invested in enabling and improving green or natural areas where children and young people can play, learn, and undertake, within the framework of the Children’s Land initiative, in homes, schools, and communities, in urban and rural areas of Peru.
The carbon credits that are used for compensation are internationally certified by VCS (Verified Carbon Standard), and CCB (Climate, Community and Biodiversity), and registered with Markit.
